Aircraft Accidents

A Board Certified Aviation Attorney with more than 20 years experience in representing pilots, soldiers, passengers and those injured on the ground by military, airline, commercial and general aviation aircraft mishaps.

I am currently investigating the crash of a C130 that went down while fighting fires in Australia (above) and are litigating cases for nearly 1/3rd of the passengers injured aboard Miami Air flight 293 that crashed in the St. John's River (below). 

Expert.

Since 2007, I have maintained Board Certification in Aviation Law. Less than 50 of Florida's 100,000 attorneys have earned this notable distinction.  

 

 

TENACITY.

 

The US government offered nothing before trial. We recovered nearly $10 million after a Federal Judge ruled that FAA air traffic controllers were negligent in causing a crash. Many of my cases have not only resulted in large verdicts, some have made aviation safer. 

Pilot.

I am a 36-year, 2000+ hour commercial instrument rated, multi and single engine land airplane and helicopter pilot.   

Litigator.

I have prosecuted and defended private, military and commercial aviation actions in the state, federal and foreign Courts in claims arising in the U.S., Germany, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Kenya the Bahamas, Australia, Iraq and West Africa.  

 

Recognized Authority.

 

The news media often seek my expert commentary on aviation matters. A New York CNN affiliate interviewed me for its exposé on the lack of FAA accountability.

 

 

Aviation Educator.
 I taught Aviation Law as an adjunct professor in Law School and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. I am regularly asked to lecture for aviation attorneys and Airborne Law Enforcement communities.
