$3-1/2 million trip-n-fall ‡‡
3-day Jury Trial in Jacksonville's Circuit Court. It involved a housewife's slip in a department store resulting in a non-surgical sore back.  KMart's best offer before trial was only $5,000. The jury returned a verdict for  $3.6 Million Dollar verdictHarris v. Kmart, Jacksonville Circuit Court.

$9.48 million FAA negligence
Five week bifurcated bench trial in Jacksonville Federal Court. The Court found the government's air traffic controllers 65% at fault in Federal Tort Claim action for failing to provide current weather to pilot. The holding resulted in an $9.48 million dollar recovery for Plaintiffs. Abrisch v. United States, Middle District
of Florida case #: 3:02-cv-1114-J-32MCR.  

Trucking crash  ‡‡
One week Jury Trial in Ocala Federal Court. Trucking case where semi-tractor collided with my elderly clients on I-75 then driver fled the scene and was never found. A verdict was rendered before a confidential settlement was reached. Burchette v. Celadon, Ocala District Court case #: 5:01-cv-368-Oc-10GRJ.   

Pedestrian Injury  ‡‡
One week Tallahassee Circuit Court Jury Trial. My client was a pedestrian struck by a car after it collided with an SUV in an intersection. The jury found that an SUV driver, who offered nothing before trial, was 75% at fault, resulting in a post-trial settlement of $1,300,000.00. Confidential Leon County Circuit Court case.

Boat Defect ‡‡
One week Jury Trial in Jacksonville's Circuit Court. This was a maritime product liability action. My client's boat window separated from the boat and struck his face, causing a traumatic Brain injury. The Defendant offered only $30,000 before trial The jury returned a $1.3 million dollar verdict with a net verdict of $725,000.00 because the Plaintiff did not obtain timely care. Turner v. Donzi Marine, Case #:16-2011-CA-10243.

Bar Assault  ‡
A bench trial in Jacksonville's Circuit Court. This was a battery case against a local bar after its bartender struck my client, causing severe surgical injuries. The court awarded $351,319.00. Wells v. Club Aqua, Case # 16-2010-CA-9015.

Trucking Crash
Bench Trial in Jacksonville's Circuit Court involving an accident between a golf cart delivery truck and my client, who did not want a jury trial.  The matter settled for a confidential amount during trial before the verdict was rendered. Davidson v. Mid-Florida Golf Carts, Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida case #: 04-CA006033.

Auto Crash ‡‡
One week Jury Trial in Jacksonville's Circuit Court. This was a contested liability auto collision case tried before a jury in the Florida state court. Gaylord v. Dean, Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida case #:16-08-CA-007627. The matter was settled for a confidential amount after trial.  

FAA Negligence
Orlando Federal Court claim against the Federal Government involving a difficult Air Traffic Control negligence case arising from a mid-air collision at an uncontrolled airport. Landry v. United States, Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division case #:6:02-cv-691-ORL-28JGG. Defense Opinion. 

Trucking Crash ‡‡
Ten-day Jury Trial, in Jacksonville's Circuit Court and one of the first trial to be held post-COVID. It was a difficult Wrongful Death Claim alleging that FedEx negligently parked and caused a crash. Defense Verdict. Marcus v. FedEx Ground. (2021).
